So now that Bay City is in any thoughts on which location is next?

Perfect. Thanks, bafreer. I'm well aware of the use of the J1772 adapter. I asked because I'm heading up past Bay City next weekend and was wondering if I need to take my UMC with me. I prefer leaving it at home and it sounds like I can.

I always bring it with me.... Better to be safe than sorry on road trips. More options!!!!

A while back Joel said Lansing would be coming online soon. As far as I know there has been no construction started in Lansing, though. Is a Supercharger installation possible when the ground is frozen? I wonder how likely it is that a new location can be started and completed by the end of 2016 at this point.

what the heck ... now there are 3 location markers on plugshare for the Bay City SC (and none of them show the site as officially open)

also, @electricjoe, I heard that Bay City will be the last in Michigan for 2016

Rumor is middle of 2017 for both Lansing and Gaylord, plus potentially other Meijer locations in MI.

Spring 2017: Lansing, Traverse City, and Battle Creek. With the typical caveat: timing is subject to change.

it appears the "official" location marker is now posted in Plugshare ... it includes amenities and the Tesla roadside assistance phone number

I suspect it will turn tan during an evening refresh

I charged at Bay City again today. I was only getting about 50 kW, but that might have been due to my battery being at a relatively high SOC of about 75%.

the site is still not officially open yet, so if you go there to charge you risk finding that it is not operational

I'm counting on using it this Saturday. Fingers crossed that it's working! The backup plan is to get out and push, which won't be that hard on the downhill parts.

As it turns out, I'll need to use this one for the first time tonight. I anticipate arriving with about 20 miles range to spare. Has anyone actually arrived to find it not working? If it's slow, that's fine. If it's offline, that's no fun.

I'm there now, charging without a problem. The stalls are all lit up and easy to find at night. There is one other Model S here but we aren't sharing a numbered stall. My SoC was 28% and the power peaked at 101 kW and quickly settled around 89. Not super great, but certainly acceptable!

Sweet, glad to see the Bay City SC open. Daughter lives in Bay City, but an apartment so I can't charge there. Great place to top off before heading north up US 23. Now if we can get the Lansing one open and one in Midland, I'll be all set when I come up to visit family from here in Virginia.....keep us updated. The Bay City SC still doesn't show on my dash, is it on plugshare?

Just tried to charge at bay city. No go. Totally shut down. Now picking up a charge at state park. Crap.

The good news is it should not be much longer until it goes live officially. The bad news is State Park Charging for now.
