I called Tesla to find out when they will be available and they said that they were not aware of them.
Umm, what? Haha, I hope they're aware..

That just means that the front line phone-answerer is not aware of all of the Superchargers that the Supercharger department has in progress. No story there.Umm, what? Haha, I hope they're aware..
you would add 80 miles and 3 hours of driving time to avoid going thru Portland?Could have used the Bend supercharger this weekend on my way from Newport, OR to Spokane, WA. Would have been nice to skip Portland. But hopefully next time!
My daughter who lives in Bend sent me a picture of several Tesla Supercharging stations still cover in clear plastic bags in the Fred Myers parking lot located off of Third street. I called Tesla to find out when they will be available and they said that they were not aware of them.
Me too, I was going to be over there week after next anyway.I hope they have some kind of opening ceremony. I'd like to go.
Sometimes driving +80 miles is more enjoyable to Portland traffic.you would add 80 miles and 3 hours of driving time to avoid going thru Portland?

As would I. But it seems these days Tesla has forgone doing the opening ceremonies.
I agree, once it's opened we should try to put something together!!!You're probably right. We should organize our own!
It can be done but it's near the limit. I am planning on going from Redmond (about 17 mile north of Bend, charging at the Aerovironment CHAdeMO) to Baker City later this summer. Rocky_H went from Sisters (22 miles NW of Bend) to Baker City about a month ago at night and colder temps with TACC set at 48mph.What do you locals think -- can I make it from the Baker City supercharger to this new one? Planning a trip to Bend in late summer and that would rock my world. I've got a P85D and am comfortable driving pretty slow if needed.
