Stopped by this evening, lights are on but the station not on line yet, the Tesla tech is working it still. A cashier in the market said a power surge reset all the store electronics earlier in the day, maybe related?
So hopefully when or (if) I go tomorrow, haha, and visit the charger it will be on? Kuddos to this Tesla tech working day and night on the charger!!! I'm smack in the middle between the Surrey charger and this Blaine charger. Both are about a ~20km drive for me.

When you say “lights are on,” are you meaning that the TESLA logo on the pedestals are lit up? If so, the site is basically active, although if he was still testing, he may not have wanted you to plug in. FWIW, the Tesla guy testing generally means the opening is imminent. If I had to guess, I’d say the site is probably active right now.

Good luck!

I bet you’re gonna get pulled over..
I was successful, the border officer said this car already crossed the border once today, haha. I said I'm going to Costco :p

Fast charging speed of 144kW I arrived with 25%

Costco should have it's own border crossing.

Just a loop road into WA state, and then back to Canada.

What I love about Canadians getting a Tesla is they no longer need to cross the border to get cheap gas at Costco.

Yeah, I have had some pretty interesting conversations going across. They grill me pretty good at the Sumas crossing, and they can't believe that I would actually drive from Kamloops to Blaine to pick up a $40 package. They seen to imply I have some other "less than legal" reasons to go across. I explain I save $30 in duties, it costs me zero dollars in gas to get it, and my wife and I would probably be driving somewhere else on the weekend anyway, so why not go across the border and visit Woods coffee?

Seriously, do they not want me to shop in their country?

They don't get it. It is not a chore, it is a pleasure to drive 8 hours in this car.

LOL, I save myself $50 a package that I mail to my mom's place in the states. She likes it cuz it forces me to visit :D

Yah, don't need 250kW cuz it's not gonna make the border lineups go any faster!

Well doesn’t really matter with my old car, only got 80 kw max at 30% SOC.

But can’t really warm up the car by choosing the supercharger in the nav when it doesn’t show up.

Hello Tesla, you have a new supercharger in Blaine; please add it in the maps. :D

Went into Woods for a quad cappuccino and got the corporate mandated “what are you up to today?” From the cashier girl. So I told her I was visiting the new supercharger. “ Oh the Tesla thing?” Yeah, the Tesla thing. o_O

I stopped by to try a test charge on Saturday, and was surprised when a $4.86 charge appeared immediately after I plugged in (see photo in the link below) - is Tesla starting to impose a $4.86 minimum charge price to discourage us from topping off at a supercharger??? If so, I am not happy. Hopefully this was just a glitch. Will have to call Tesla on Monday (they no longer answer the phone on weekends) Grrr.

Discouraging top offs makes no sense since Tesla wants people to charge as quickly as possible to keep any possible lines quick.

I have a $3 charge on Sept 22 and a $2 charge in August.

No, they aren’t. What’s displayed on your screen is likely an artifact from your previous charging session since Blaine isn’t on the map yet. Check you Tesla account charging history from the website.
