***Update***

Charge posts going in today, conductors pulled from Supercharger bases to posts. No step-up transformer on-site and switchgear still not installed.

Switch cabinets and step up transformer installed. Still no progress on a new transformer if that is happening.

Look at that *sugar* show... lol... I didn’t even post the picture I took of them setting everything the other day cause it looks so ugly.

As this did not go through a official plan review the city may make them screen all that crap.

PSE is upgrading the transformer to a larger 120/208V. We’ll see if that is delayed by the current crisis.

A good site manager would have seen this crisis coming and wrapped up work and activated the supercharger back in January.

Not going to bite on that one Mr. @PLUS EV but a good project manger would have this done months ago.

To satisfy everyone's insatiable need on here to have a completely unnecessary supercharger in Bothell Washington see below.

New upgraded PSE transformer will be installed and March 24, 2020 between 8-9 AM.

PRETTY JUICY RIGHT!!! YOUR WELCOME!

I don't know what kind of math they're using, but according to my math its only 1 hour between 8am and 9am.

From my understanding the shutoff will begin between 8-9 and last 8 hrs. I think.

The joke I made was about how they wrote it.

"Between 8-9am there will be a required power outage to work on a transformer" and then it goes into a different topic before going back to the original topic where it finally gets around to saying it will last 8 hours.

For something like this its best to give all the facts necessary in the sentence or two, and then have the "We know this is an inconvenience" part later.

A good project manager would have backup generators on site for such an occasion, SMH.

That might be overly costly or extremely hard for a whole condo/apartment building. I’ve lived in apartments before and often had interruptions to power or water (with days of notice) for repairs or upgrades.

However, a good project manager would have postponed this till after school and work was largely back to normal. Minimize the impact to residents as much as possible, not when everyone is trying to stay in as much as possible.

Especially when this is not a repair to a mission critical supercharger. This location doesn’t exist yet and people are getting by. It’s not like the only one in a 300 mile radius went offline and is leaving people stranded.

I stopped by today at the Bothell site, it looks like no progress has happened since the last report in March. Not surprising, I suppose.
Here’s some pics:
