Supercharger - Cabazon, CA - Morongo Trail (LIVE 9 Feb 2022, 12 V3 stalls)

Haven't seen any posts on this and a forum search didn't yield any results, but apparently the Morongo Casino just down the street from the existing Cabazon Outlets SC expanded their Travel Center that now includes 8 Supercharger stalls, although I'm counting 11 in the screenshot of their Instagram story below (so potentially 12 at this location since there are 3 V3 cabinets in the background) which looks to include two pull throughs for those towing. Haven't been there personally to confirm and I'm not sure if they have power yet since it wasn't showing up on the car navigation when I checked last night. There's also some good food options nearby so this may be a good alternative to the existing Cabazon location or Banning if traffic is bad.

Looks like the exact location is
33.923686, -116.803235

You can see the site under construction on Google Maps satellite imagery (the pull-through islands with aisles matching the photo and what even looks like the beginnings of the bases for the Supercharger cabinets are visible). The photo is taken facing south, with nearby street view confirming the shape of the background hills and surprising lack of visible prominence of buildings and the like south of this location.

Maybe not operational yet, at least when the photo was taken, as the pedestals don't seem to be glowing.

These still aren't online yet but my girlfriend was able to snap a few pics while stopping for gas on her way home from Palm Springs this afternoon. 12 stalls confirmed with "out of service ev charging is coming soon" stickers covering the Tesla logos.

Definitely more than 8. Their social media person needs to learn how to count.

LOVE the pull thru stalls! Looking forward to putting these to use one day

Wow, those are LEGIT pull-thru spots! Best I've seen anywhere out of almost 600 SCs visited. More of this Tesla!!!

However, what good are they if people take those when not even towing???

I get this may have been for the photo opp - no worries... but.... Please only use these if all the other stalls are taken.

Tesla needs proper signage for these otherwise regular cars will use them and will cause unneeded stress for those asked to move so a person towing can get in.

no this was for a charging session. I have been driving teslas since 2013 and there were a total of 2 SCs in LA . I think im courteous enough not to block, hog or otherwise inconvenience any one that needs to charge. Conversely I saw someoe block three stalls at Beaumont with their trailer. This is not a signage issue, its a Tesla drivers being courteous thing.

I'm happy that most drivers are smart enough and courteous enough to either move out of a pull-thru spot if not towing and someone needs it OR unhitch if they are towing and will block other drivers from charging.

However, we all know this isn't always the case.

Many newer drivers may not understand charging etiquette. Some are not going to be in the car ready to move.

Thus, I do believe signage would be helpful, both in educating drivers as well as helping settle disputes as they occur, by simply pointing to the sign.

I can already see this happening: 2 cars not towing take the pull-ins. They leave to go eat or something. A towing Tesla shows up and can't use the pull in. OK, so now he then takes 5 of the regular spots because 9 are open. Then the 2 pull in people leave and Towing guy looks like the a-hole to anyone else who then comes afterward. All because a few uninformed (or not caring) people used the pull-ins when they could have used the regular spots instead.
