Supercharger - Cape Girardeau, MO

Stopped by Winks tonight for a cold one and noted they have blocked off the area that will almost certainly be the Supercharger site. It is directly north of the convenience store, between the two entrances (not where I thought it would be initially). Easy access to the interstate and the interchange project is complete.

Updated pic for you guys. Soon…. The convenience store has a hot bar with chicken strips, bbq, etc. A good option if you don’t want to go further into town for food.

That's one of the pre-assembled supercharger units. There's probably 2 of them for 8 stalls.

This is a photo from 2-12-2022. Looks like the new prefab models. Great location. Easy quick access off I-55. Nice new convenience store with a few hot food options. About 1.5 miles away a great restaurant, Saffron, where you can order Asian fusion; they have a drive through for quick pickup. Also good DoorDash options in Cape Girardeau. Dumpster for trash beside chargers. Kids playground ~400 yards away and a large county park for a walk. Plenty of open space for dogs.

I can also confirm that Bistro Saffron is delicious. Had it for lunch literally yesterday. The Gra Prow Chicken is delicious! Also in that same plaza is a craft beer and wine store - Cask/PrimoVino. Would recommend!

Those chargers look like the V3 chargers. They should be 250 kW and might charge a Tesla at about 1000 miles per hour depending on the model. I have seen my 2018 MS charge at about a 500 mile per hour rate with the V3 superchargers. The ICE cars just might be on the way out and that should be good for the world. A cleaner quieter world would be nice.

Visited my son yesterday and drove by here to see if anything was different. Looks good, plastic nets keeping the superchargers safe from the world.

It should be open by my next visit in April. Can't wait!

Thanks for the information. That Cape Supercharger will make the visit to my brother and friends much nicer. When will Tesla start providing WyFy at the Supercharger locations?
