Supercharger - Carlsbad, CA (7710 El Camino Real, LIVE 27 Sep 2018, 26 urban stalls)

As this Supercharger fills up at all daylight hours (today was no exception), I was by this morning and saw a new low of rudeness from one our fellow Tesla owners. After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I snapped this shot.

So, I have a question and forgive me for not wanting to look through 42 pages of posts about this charger. I charged in this exact spot about a month or so ago when I was in Carlsbad visiting a friend (from LA). It actually took quite a while to fully recharge my car for the trip back. But my question is...there are only 2 chargers there, are there more in the lot above on the hill? I found the directions for this spot quite confusing. Thanks for any info.

I charged one time at those two spots at the bottom. I would say 90% of the people who drove why we're completely lost and didn't realize there was another 18 chargers up around the corner at the top of the hill. They really could use some better signage to help people because I had to point how to get there for every one of those people

Just read yesterday that Tesla increased supercharger charge prices.
What is the price per kWh at this station?

$0.31 / kWh, 19/20 stalls in use this afternoon.

Yikes. For a Model S that is 9.25 cent/mile or 7.5 cent/mile for a Model 3.
A Prius at 50 mpg and $3/gal costs 6 cent/mile.

My Tesla app shows the Carlsbad site has reduced service (cirlce with line through it rather than lightning bolt on the red marker), but 7 stalls are in use, anyone have an idea what the situation is on the ground?

The 2 chargers on the lower level are non-functional. Last time I was there the pedestals were tilted, like some genius hit them.

It's not obvious vandalism. It could just be morons backing into them. I've seen some "not very talented" Tesla drivers backing up into those pedestals at this location.

To get hit with idle fees the charger has to be at least 50% occupied and your car has to stop charging.

Bummer, since I'm just heading that way and plan on charging there when needed. Figures some ingrates ruin it for us.

On the upper level, there are spots with the pedestals at the entrance to the parking spot. I figured those would be the first to get hit considering it seems to take a 3 point turn for most to park there.

One of the chargers has been driven into and knocked over within the last 24 hours. Tesla has been notified. I hope this was an accident and not vandalism.

I was there Friday evening around 5pm. The one at the bottom was down. This looks like the upper lot. They were all OK when I was there.

The lower handicapped charger has been down for a few days now. Wrapped in black plastic.
The damaged one is on the upper level #5 on the left as you enter.
