Durham, NC
An alert NC Tesla Facebook user noticed some new construction at Parkside Commons in Cary, and I looked up Cary's building permits, and lo and behold, permit # 19-7367 for TESLA ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS was recently issued:

Here is a map of the area. I haven't yet witnessed the exact spot, but it was described as being in between Target & Harris Teeter, which I think would place it in the small parking section in the middle bottom. I will check it out later to confirm:

@BlueShift I noticed the supercharge.info map no longer has a pin on Durham. Is that because of the recently added Henderson, NC charger? Looks like you can put a pin back in the map in Cary.

Now the question is: IS this the Tesla "Durham" site? Or will we get another one in Durham as well? Doesn't seem like there would need to be another one this close, but on the other hand, it seems like Superchargers are popping up everywhere these days!

Just got back from visiting this site.

Yes, I can confirm that the parking area is the little isolated section in the middle bottom of the map shown, making it a really great location, not likely to be ICEd. Also tons of amenities in this area, making it a really great site.

Looks to be a 12 stall site, with 11 of the stalls along the south section of the isolated lot, and oddly enough, the 12th stall is around the corner on the N/S section of parking spaces.

Your photos aren't showing up. Can you confirm that it is under construction and located at 35.843668,-78.886228?

When I right-click "Show pictures" it asks me to sign in with a google account. All I see is small icon placeholders. I assume the people who do see it are those who have happily told google to remember who they are at all times.

I shop here weekly, and work down the road. This is a great spot for the charger. No one EVER parks over there. This should never be iced. It's far enough away from any of the shops that these should always be open.

Awesome! My wife has family in Fuquay-Varina, Cary and Rougemont. It will definitely make the roadtrip from Texas easier! I'm jealous y'all are getting so many chargers popping up and completed seemingly overnight!!

Crew was busy installing the Utility Transformer today. All the supercharger cabinets are closed up now, although nothing is run from the switch gear to the transformer or the supercharger cabinets yet. You can see the 4 conduits that go to the transformer and the 6 that go to each of the supercharger cabinets. Looks like they're missing two breakers in the switch gear cabinet, but there are two open spots. Sign posts are up as well.

Wife and I go to Cary 4 to 5 times a year. We stay at the Umstead Hotel. They have valet parking $25.00 Tesla charging. Now We can park ourself and save $. Drink more wine. use some of my 5000 hr free. Life is good.:D

Dang, you have to valet to get to the charger? Considering all the perks daddy goodnight gives his SAS employees this is a little surprising :)

Some one ask me if Elon gave me the Tesla hat I had own. I said , he didn't get to be a billionaire by giving stuff away. If you ever go to Lenoir stop at Bernhardt Furniture Factory. one of the owners has a Tesla and they have a Tesla Charger, NO Charge$.
I guess you know daddy good has a Tesla.
We went there (Umstead) Dec 2 for our 40th wedding anniversary. We got up next morning and she read in the WSJ about global warning. on the way home she ask how much range the Tesla X had. We were in our 2016 X 90kw. I told her the range on the 100kw. After 7 years of trying to pry her hand's off the steering wheel, she finally said she would like the X. When we got home we placed the order. 2 month's later I ordered the 3 and sold the black X. Life is good. Happy July 4
