How could that need to be done? If you looks at photos in post 17, V3 cabinets are already on concrete pads. Trenching and conduit must have already completed, and later thread photos show fresh asphalt and parking stops installed, lines pointed.

I think he might mean that they are going to need to trench and cover the supply lines to the transformer that hasn't been placed yet and to the Tesla cabinets. That will probably be an EPB contracted job, to get the power feed ran from wherever it is to under the pavement and trenched over to the cabling that is dangling out of the ground now.

Also, just in case you havent seen the other thread, we are getting a Service Center. Supposedly breaking ground in October: Showroom and Service Center - Chattanooga, TN.

That is precisely the vibe I was getting from my source. No work is being "redone". It is simply not yet complete.

Update: Looks like some work activity, heavy equipment staged

Well, as it happened our route today took us past Chattanooga, so we stopped by Hamilton Place to take a look:

The heavy equipment is gone, but I’m not sure that they are done trenching or horizontal drilling due to the writing on the pavement. As best I can make out it says 7’4” EPB 7’10” and some perhaps directional lines.

The forms are in place to pour the concrete pad for the utility transformer.

There is now a large cutout in the pavement in front of the two chargers next to the utility transformer pad.

Since not all of the chargers are roped off, people must try to use them all the time. I saw someone trying today. The chargers don’t have their number stickers yet either.

Thanks for the update.

So I assume the utility transformer has been installed? There is also a meter on or close to the utility transformer that must be installed. The meter will indicate whether power is on to the system. But still someone from Tesla has to go by to turn the chargers on AFAIK.
