Generally, CalTrans closes these highways around Thanksgiving, and reopens them any time between April 15 and June 30, depending upon snowfall and any road damage occurring during the winter from avalanches and boulders.

This is the pin you get when you click the gmap link on supercharge.info. It is clearly not correct. The site is near the Gold Dust Pizza icon, not the red pin.
On SC.info, the gmap link sends you to wherever google maps places the listed address. The problem is that SC.info doesn't have a good address for the location yet, it's just listed as "Little John Rd." with no number. So google is taking you to wherever it puts the center of that road. Once they fix the address, it'll take be taken care of.

@Chuq @MarcoRP @corywright -- can one of you change the address for the Copperopolis pin to 100 Town Square Rd, Copperopolis, CA 95228

Ha! Calaveras County is one of the best kept secrets. This is the place that changed Cali forever as this was the place were gold was discovered. You can still see the history of the mid 1800's everywhere. This is a great supercharger placement as If you continue on Highway 4 (east) you'll hit Angels Camp, Murphy's, Arnold and then the ski resort Bear Valley. Many bay area folks have 2nd homes in Arnold. I call Arnold the poor man's Tahoe (I'm gonna get killed for that ;-). There are three really good golf courses in the county. Home to probably 30 wineries in Murphy's alone and an easy 1/4 mile walk from each other on the main drag. Their St. Patty's Day celebration is one of the best. The outdoor concerts at Ironstone Winery is world class along along with their Fourth of July celebration. Angel's Camp is famous for the world championship frog jumping contest. There's actually a lot of things always going on. See for yourself... Start your adventure - GoCalaveras.com Hope that helps...
Gold was first discovered in California near Coloma in El Dorado County, about 70 miles north of Angels Camp, unless history changes and I missed it.

When I was there yesterday to charge there was a guy still painting "EV CHARGING ONLY" on the spaces. Also the mall looked desolate compared to the last time I was there. Just one restaurant with customers. Sure hope they get some of the federal recovery money, that was a very cool mall.

Driving from the Bay to friend's place in Arnold was always dicey unless I charged to 90-100% or stopped in Manteca to supercharge, so this is awesome to see. (Iffy '60s electrical at the cabin, absolutely no way I'm plugging a car into that.) Had been dying for the Sonora location to open for... what? Three years? But this'll do. And Jackson helps too, depending on route.

In general Calaveras is really tough for anything other than home charging. There's I believe one or two L2 chargers in Angels, and a bunch of L2s in Sonora at the hospital. But neither are conveniently placed to leave your car and walk into town.

I always forget the hospital in Sonora, I go to the casinos, Chicken Ranch and Black Oak both have lots of free Tesla (and other) charging, but Black Oak is often full, apparently the Tesla owners have found out about them. I can pull a full 48 amps out with my car, I imagine they are setup for 72 amps on the dual charger cars.

Sure would love to hack a second charger into my car, but I am sure the computer would freak out about it.
