Supercharger - Dallas, TX - The Hill

I visited all 3 in the area under construction.
My guess? Plano opens 1st followed by Southlake and Walnut Hill.

Covers are off. Cones still blocking the lot. Still tried, no power.

The covers were still on late yesterday morning, so I guess they removed them in the afternoon. I had been noticing a pickup truck and trailer have been there most days the past week or so. There was also a backhoe on the south side of the lot one day last week. I can only assume they are doing the finishing touches on the greenery around the lot.

Ya. Saw those guys there the last few days. Hey gave me a weird look when I pulled up. I'll have to drive by there again today so I'll see.

YEa. Staying at a friends house.

Stopped by on the way home to Houston. Oncor was there, guy was in the middle of lunch and didn't know anything other than what his assigned task was. He didn't know if final permits had need approved and inspected or if tesla was even done with their side of things.

I'll be back Saturday for another update.

This afternoon, site appears complete, except meter not yet installed. Of 11 spaces, 4 are signposted for Tesla only, 7 are signposted general parking for 30 minutes. This at a location with a large “green” hardware store and several restaurants.

I saw an Oncor truck as I passed by this morning. Might be worth checking for a meter later today.

There was a post on reddit stating the Dallas supercharger was open. But now I can't find it which I guess corroborates the above.

3 Oncor trucks still working in the charging area, just drove by.

I'll be there around dinner time, although in the oil burner so I can't test anything if it looks up and running.

Drove past this evening and no trucks. From what I could tell by looking from the freeway, there was no meter (the box that had a clear hole didn't have anything protruding).

This morning , two ONCOR trucks. They are wiring the transformer.
It probably has been mentioned before but these are only accessible from Central Avenue which seems to be a service road for 75?
I had a nice encounter with a silver Model 3 on the way there. Temporary tags. It was rather quick off the line

Just saw two Oncor trucks leave, I thought it may be the time so I tried a charger. No luck, it looks like we still need a meter.

Am I way off here or is it sad that we are always waiting on the electric companies to finish, and it is them who stand to gain the most as far as cash and customers?

I'll vote for 'way off here', personally. Oncor has to deal with millions of customers across a broad territory. One charging station in Dallas just isn't going to be the same priority for them as it is for Tesla owners.
Besides which, their contribution to the delays in this SC opening are quite minor compared to Tesla's.
