Interesting that when I plug that address (2800 I-35E, Denton, TX 76210) in Google Maps, it takes me to an I35 location in Carrollton. But Bing Maps takes me to the correct location.

My son lives in Denton. He remarked that Denton County owns and operates the Electric grid in Denton. Maybe The County thinks that more than 8 would be a hog on the grid. I don't know.

I wouldn’t believe that about DME. The power and diversity of their resources are solid for the growing city. I’ve lived here for years with only losing power for tornadoes.
I've found permits for that Buc-ees in the City of FW accela site.

I am sure it will be V3, wouldn't surprise me that its a 48 stall facility. This is a major Freeway intersection, and like the rest of Texas, they're always under construction. Google Maps
Incorrect map location? That link takes me to 35W near Roanoke. Whereas this SC is in Denton on 35E
Yes. The map is for Buc-ee's at I-35W and 114 in North Fort Worth.
Buc-ee's in Denton is at I-35E and Brinker.
