Thanks, good to know. Don't assume. It wasn't a stereotype. A couple years ago I was working in EP and it was terrible. Still is in some parts. I avoid it completely when I go there. Glad t hear it might be improving in some parts. The comment was someone of a joke on the past history of EP. I guess some folks are too sensitive o_O

The area had one of the highest murder rates per capita in the country. If this were 1986 I'd be concerned, but not only has the place been cleaned up long ago, those who were dealing drugs back then (in another part of town) are somewhere between middle aged and old. Even back then, I drove through it daily without trouble.

There was one time when my passengers got scared when somebody on the street came up to the car. He was curious how much it cost. Not everybody on the streets was out to kill people.

Transformer was placed today by 11:30 am, secondary cables placed, but not hooked up, no primary cables anywhere to be seen, and they will complete secondary hookup before energizing anything,

Crew had another transformer on the truck, and traffic control guy said it was for the nearby San Carlos location, on industrial.

Can confirm absolutely there are 20 stalls of 72kw urban chargers, very near the McDonald’s, and across the street from Ikea.

Went by today there where a lot of trucks around. It appears they did the directional boring under the main road to get to the transformer by ikea.

Cool, thats where I assumed the feed came from. In late April / early May they even had 1 lane of the road closed off while doing work directly across the street on the Ikea side.

This site like San Carlos is under a soft opening. Station is on currently but could also be off at anytime.

19 spots marked with " vehicle charging" and the 20th with van accesible.

Per the Tesla Technician at San Mateo: Station is not officially open as they need to monitor the station overall for a couple of days first and if needed they can shut it off if they detect a problem.
