Per a social media report, a supercharging site has been spotted under construction in a parking lot at: Target 3660 Marketplace Blvd East Point, GA 30344 For locals, this is at the intersection of I-285 and Camp Creek Parkway, west of the airport. A local owner is stopping by later today so we should have visual confirmation (including photos) in a few hours.
This will be a very busy station. It appears to be at about the same stage of construction as the one in Newnan
Tesla has a supercharger targeted for Q1 2021 in Marietta GA. too. Might want to do some permit sleuthing in that area. Both the East Point and Newman are targeted for Q1. Tesla has been reasonably on target for the locations slated so far. @MarcoRP
Yay! I'm super excited for this one... wish it had been here last summer because I got a little stuck in Atlanta during RUSH HOUR after dropping my brother at the airport. In any case, happy this one is going in.
Stopped by the East Point Target SC installation site today. As you can see by the pics, most of the piping seems to be done, forms are set, and now waiting for concrete, and of course better weather! It looks like 10 or 11 pedestal conduits poking up, and although 1 or 2 may be for lighting. So this could be an 8 or a 10-pedestal site, or more, if additional pedestals are installed to the right of the Transformer & Control area..
Conduit is in, concrete poured, V3 cabinets onsite. This looks like it will be TWELVE pedestals, with 10 accessed from both sides of a concrete aisle, and then two more near the cabinets. Conduit at cabinet pad and three cabinets supports this. We'll see for sure in about a week I guess.
