Hi everyone, Just noticed a picture of the under construction Egg Harbor Township supercharger is up on plugshare! Not sure how to repost here (or whether it's allowed). Looking forward to having it as an extra safety blanket during our summer trips to the shore. Anyone know anything more about it? Thanks. -Ben PS. Rjcbox nailed the location in the NJ Shore Premium Outlets thread: Supercharger - NJ Shore Premium Outlets
3121 Fire Road Plugshare has it listed temporarily as a public charger (green), not an orange supercharger marker.
show how did everyone miss this one. Looking forward to it, it opens South New Jersey to the Phila area.
Looks like someone at Tesla was listening...this new location is a mile away from the one I suggested to Tesla over & over & over & over again...lol rjcbox, Dec 8, 2013 Last edited: Dec 28, 2013 Harbor Square - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia would help travelers from NYC/N. Jersey as well as PA travelers. It's a few minutes off Garden State Parkway (GSP), travelling North or South and AC expressway (Phila-Atlantic City) travelling East & West. When NYC/North Jersey travelers drive south, they usually take GSP or NJ Turnpike(I95). But generally need to merge onto GSP or AC Expressway at this Egg Harbor Township region to head further south and east to their destination. This would be a great stop for the Atlantic City travelers (who will undoubtedly worry about charging while in the city's resorts/casinos) and for the Cape May group who have another 45 miles until they hit the beaches. Also, for those travelling cross country, the CapeMay, NJ-Lewis, Delaware Ferry is often utilized. I believe this location, along with those SC's in North Jersey, would essentially eliminate range-anxiety in New Jersey. Cape May County will have 800,000 occupants during a typical summer or holiday weekend, from a base population of 96,000. Atlantic City had 23,807,000 visit-trips in 2012 by automobile alone. A few restaurants and shops are in place now at Harbor square, but this location was recently bought and is now being revitalized/under construction. I was in Atlantic City for the Memorial Day weekend and decided to check on the progress. 8 chargers total. Seven back-in type and one pull-in forward. Electrical is not connected yet. There is a Bonefish Grill restaurant around the corner and the grocery store has a cafe. The friendly folks in the blue Model S were here to checkout the scene as well. Here are some pics...
Wow! Looks like you also captured a picture of the Model Y prototype. They have more work to do on the pickup design as it appears to be a barely functional shopping cart in the current state.
Looks like this location has been progressing for quite some time without our knowledge. It looks very close to becoming operational which is fantastic news. I need to be in the area June 17th and given the current state of construction, it appears possible so long as transform and power company cooperate.
FANTASTIC! I am so looking forward to never having to leave my car overnight at the Wave garage again.
Hey this is a good location for A/C and the Nj Parkway but I for one would like to see something along the Nj SR 55 corridor... Vineland , Nj area perhaps?? This doesn't get it for those approaching from the south like from the Twin Bridges out of Wilmington, DE.. so far.. I can find only one area SC station in Nj that really gets it for me.. Hamilton Twp... keep going!!
The NJ55 doesn't go far enough to warrant a supercharger. The whole road is only about 80 miles. Anyone coming from Delaware should have plenty of range to get to even Cape May and back without issue, its only a 180 mile round trip from Newark.
what about Philly? Or Valley Forge? DE is 20+ miles out of the way from I-476 for power to get to Cape May.. several T owners have told me that they drive from south eastern pa to cape may and have to plug in on 110 to be able to do any motoring around in CM because they don't have enough battery to make it back... have you done this run from DE to cape may??
