what about Philly? Or Valley Forge?

This is becoming an extremely specific request. It reminds me of the people who say they'll never get an electric car because they have to drive 3000 miles in one day without stopping.

I'm not a local, so I might be wrong, perhaps "Valleyforge-to-Cape-May-return-without-stopping-overnight-and-without-going-via-the-Atlantic-City-expressway" is a particularly high demand route. But there are hundreds of other higher demand locations around the world. But when Egg Harbor opens there won't be a single place in the state which is inaccessible via superchargers.

what about Philly? Or Valley Forge? DE is 20+ miles out of the way from I-476 for power to get to Cape May.. several T owners have told me that they drive from south eastern pa to cape may and have to plug in on 110 to be able to do any motoring around in CM because they don't have enough battery to make it back... have you done this run from DE to cape may??
Whether or not there should be a Supercharger in the metro Philly area is a different question. As for SE Pa to Cape May, just take a detour to Egg harbor, its not very far out of your way at all. Sure it might not be the optimal route, but it still quite doable. There are many many many other locations that superchargers are needed just to make travel possible at all.

In an ideal world, I'd like to have Superchargers everywhere. In the world of managing priorities, I think the cross-roads of the AC Expy and the Garden State is nearly perfect as a south Jersey location.

Very excited to see this go live.

Progress made. 8th unit is in and I guess the transformers are in too.

In that picture I see the 480v electrical distribution cabinet and the superchargers, but I don't see a transformer, was it elsewhere on the site? The white cabinets are the superchargers, the boxy green one was the 480v distribution.

I'm the one who posted it on plugshare. I didn't see an option in the connector types for supercharger which is why it was originally posted as a Tesla plug.

I went by yesterday and spoke with the Atlantic City Electric crew that was working on it. They said they were instructed to get it done as soon as possible. The portion of the work they are doing will be completed by Tuesday. At the time they were pulling extremely heavy gage wires from what looked like the distribution box to an area behind the supermarket. (approx. 1 city block away) I'm assuming that is where the transformer is.

I live in the area and will check it out periodically. Hopefully it will be activated within the next couple weeks. I'm sure after all construction and electrical work is done it will have to be inspected by the township before it can be turned on. I think the goal is to have it live before July 4th.

I am heading down that way this weekend and was certainly hoping this site would be open. While a long shot, I am still hoping beyond hope that an update comes indicating its online. I figure long shots sometimes payoff near Atlantic City - right?
My cousin tells me that one of the casinos is giving away a Model S as a player promotion prize. I guess the winner can take possession and then charge it at Egg Harbor. ;-)
