Supercharger - El Paso, TX - Eastlake Blvd

The address is of a Starbucks. Google doesn’t show too much extra parking to become a supercharger site. I happen to be in the immediate area and will check it out tomorrow morning and try to identify exactly where it will be located. Photos? ….. of course. Eastlake Blvd is a 2 year old road cut into expanding new developments in the upper Valley, Horizon area. Easy I-10 on and off ramps. Places to eat/shop right nearby. The entire area is exploding with growth…. a huge brand new Amazon distribution center and multiple warehouses and businesses going in.

That's a (pathetic) splitter!

I-10 El Paso, TX to Van Horn, TX is 130.5 miles and #17 (should maybe be #18) on the list of Interstate gaps.
This would split it 28 miles from El Paso, TX and 103.3 miles to Van Horn, TX. Still leaves a gap of over 100 miles, sadly, but definitely a substantial improvement for charging both from the gap reduction and being a V3 instead of the V2 at El Paso, TX.

12161 Eastlake Blvd may go straight back from Eastlake Blvd. The other buildings each have their own addresses. My car is parked where I think they may go. … or possibly —- back to back in the stalls in front of my car. Starbucks is busy and doesn’t look like it can accommodate a supercharger. Here are a few photos of the area as of this morning. —another thought, they could be built from the ground up next to Starbucks in a currently vacant lot….but that would change the address.

The other EPT location will probably be permanently shut down as TxDOT has plans to acquire that property for a road project at Artcraft and I-10. Telsa could relocate it across I-10 to the West Towne Marketplace. However, with the new location in Las Cruces, they may not have to although there are a lot of Teslas on the west side (including the showroom) that could benefit from the station being relocated in the vicinity.

Meanwhile, an I-10 expansion project is continuing in East El Paso. One lane is being added to each side of the highway on a 2½-mile stretch from Eastlake to Horizon boulevards. The $18 million project, being done by International Eagle Enterprises, an El Paso contractor, began in January and is expected to be completed in early 2023.

Looks like I quoted the wrong paragraph from the article in my post above. The project mentioned below is the one that will most likely result in the current station being removed/relocated.

Also, the Artcraft Road interchange on I-10 in West El Paso is to be rebuilt in the future. That $193.5 million project is scheduled to go out for bids in 2024, TXDOT officials said.

The vacant lot you're referring to next to the Starbucks is the site of a future Chick Fil-A. The Starbucks parking is too small to accommodate the Supercharger.
It may end up just being in a parking space in the same Eastlake Marketplace.

Hey!

The suns up✔️. They are in the Starbucks parking lot right behind the photographer. Careful backing in because the lot is busy with Starbucks drive thru customers as well.

Pictures!
