Dang. My trip is in a few weeks. Really hoping I don’t have to rent.

I don't know where you're traveling from/to, but look at plugshare and enable "Tesla" and J1772 in the filters. We made it from Mackinaw City to Green Bay along route 2. Had to charge at the Quality Inn in Esky but there were other options.

I just returned from an 8500 mile trip between Seattle and Philadelphia and back and I was faced with the same decision. I chose to go from Mackinaw City to Marquette to Wausau. Granted a bit longer than going thru Esky but scenic and relaxing.

I have a Sudbury, Ont - Wassau via Marquette in sept (If border opens and Esky does not!)

Success! Yes, the Escanaba Supercharger was indeed working at 7:45 this morning (July 30), though it is still not showing up on my app or on the in-car navigation screen.

Great to hear! Have a trip coming up through there. If it's not on the Tesla website and/or in car nav is there a chance will go offline? Or just a formality waiting for it to be official?

It’s typical for a newly activated site to not show up officially for a short time. Call it a “soft opening” if you want. It’s rare but problems do happen that cause it to go offline or have reduced service. Those of us who have been at this awhile have a “plan B” if traveling to or through a site not yet officially listed.

Yup. I would definitely have a plan B for this one during its early days. Especially considering its relatively "remote" location. But it will probably work. I'd put it at more like a 97-98% reliability rate vs. the usual 99.9% rate for an established supercharger.

Escanaba now showing on the Tesla web map as a red pin, although when you click on it, it still says Target opening Q3... Same behavior for Bemidji...

Not a record. Go check out the Ft. Stockton, TX Supercharger thread. 92 pages with 1,825 posts before the announcement that the site was operational. Though that particular site the development timeline was a touch shorter at 2 years, 10 months. If Calabasas, CA is actually happening as potentially suggested by a picture and another person's comment, that one will have taken around 4 years.

I am very confused by that chart. If you hover on it it jumps from 2109 on Jan 21 to 2602 on Jan 22, but the data does not show any such changes on that date range. It only shows one location opening on the 21st and one opening on the 22nd.
