Supercharger - Fairfield, OH

Per Marco, a supercharger has been permitted for the Meijer on Gilmore Ave in Fairfield, OH

finally a supercharger on the 275 loop! This has been sorely needed for a long time, as the supercharger in the cincy area all currently require a substantial detour off the loop. Great if you are coming into town from the west or south, but terrible if you are passing through and bypassing the city on 275.

Construction is well underway on this supercharger. Stalls are up (sans covers). Wiring up now.

Forgot to say in previous post, it's located on south center portion of parking lot. Right next to existing EVGo station. Which, thank God for this. Next time I get an EVGo station to operate will be the first time.

All done. Just likely in same boat as West Chester. Waiting for final electrical inspection. It is interesting that it has a stall marked with a Handicapped sign saying "Van Accessible. Designed for disabled. Use last." Never seen that before.

I tried this station really quick and it is still now turned ion. I the tried out the EV GO station right next to the Superchargers. That setup uses the Tesla CHAdeMO adaptor built into the station. The was a really interesting experience of only 50 kW..

This is still not turned on. I live close and I'm still waiting to see the lights turned on when i go by. There is a Chik-fil-a, Dunkin, and McDonalds near by.

Saw some electricians working on the chargers the other day. Not sure if they were working on the EVGO side or the Tesla side but they also took the blue tape off of the Tesla superchargers. One step closer to using these bad boys!

Has anyone stopped by lately? Tesla just opened the West Chester location yesterday so I’m figuring this is next in line. This has been under construction about the same amount of time as West Chester.

Good news everyone, this is now open according to Tesla!

Stopped by today and working fine. For me, it's in the app but not in the car Nav. When you press "Send to Car" the navigation just spins and doesn't know what to do. So there's this hopefully brief period where Tesla's systems aren't syncing correctly. But it does work and as of 1:15pm today, it's still FREE.

One trivial issue about this station (and West Chester too) is that there's 4 stalls on one side and 8 on the other. This leaves that last stall on the end in an odd position and where it can be accessed from either side. The proper side for this last stall for Fairfield is the south side. Just be aware that if these stations are near full, you might attempt plugging in on the last stall only to discover it's taken by a person on the "wrong" side.
