Supercharger - Fairfield

Can’t come soon enough.
Stopped in Darien, SB side of highway had reduced service so I went around to NB side and got last open charger (15sec in front of another Tesla).
Pre-conditioned on way @ 40-50% SoC and still only got ~45kW for most of the charge until it went up to.. 75kW ugh.

I drove by both sites yesterday. Progressing very slowly but “coming soon” signs were up at at the NB site.

Thanks for the quick check. That alters my route for this evening's road trip . While picking up these two, I'll be planning on swinging through Hartford to check on the status of that site. I fully expect no changes there.

This is great news. But, there is still a gap in the eastern half of CT. I wonder if SCs are being planned for Branford and Madison rest areas as well.

I saw similar construction fencing when I passed Madison SB 95 rest area last night.

It looks to be about 40 miles to the Fairfield service plaza from Madison so it’s possible Photos would be helpful to confirm. If confirmed we should start a new Madison CT supercharger thread.

Sorry I passed at speed and did not take a photo. It had the same construction fence and there appeared to be some excavation in the eastern side of the lot. Thanks for following up in Sunday. I won’t be back that way for a month or so.

Looks like all completed waiting on Tesla equipment. Transformers are in. First pic is North; second is South.

I just got off the phone with the Connecticut Service Plazas and they said that the Tesla supercharger should be open by thanksgiving time. I hope that helps.

I drove by all 3 of the southbound SCs on 95 in CT today, Darien, Fairfield, and Madison, and they're all at the same point.

All construction looks complete except the SC cabinets and changing pedestals. The ground is all closed up and paving, landscaping, and signs are up, with a coming soon paper taped to them. One of these threads reported that it was expected to be complete "before Thanksgiving" and that looks very likely at this point.

Wow, things are happing and they are installing superchargers as we speak. For whatever reason, I can not upload a pic.

I drove by last night and didn't have time to stop. It looked like the pedestals had been installed but the red TESLA lights weren't glowing so I don't think they're been powered on yet. Fingers crossed for Thanksgiving!

Finally had a chance to stop by the southbound side. Looks as though there are two more Tesla branded pallets with the last things to install.
