Since Sheetz has multiple superchargers under construction, I checked Coming Soon locations on Tesla's Find Us page against Sheetz locations and made a call to the Sheetz in Falls Creek, PA. The person who answered the phone confirmed that a supercharger was under construction there and it is expected to be completed in about a week. Sheetz 1867 Rich Highway Falls Creek, PA 15840
Not on our list yet, and supposed to be open in a week? Guess we failed at this one. Glad you found it.
Really hope this is true! Would love to take I80 back from the Midwest in two weeks rather than PA turnpike! Thanks for the info.
I'll check on the status of the Falls Creek Supercharger on Monday, July 3. I'll be heading east across 80 in the morning. Hopefully, I get lucky and it's open, so I can take 80 west to get back in the evening.
I think Breezewood, Morgantown WV, and Weston WV are all Sheetz, so I guess this would be the fourth.
Yes, sorry. I should have just clicked on discuss on supercharge.info. Even better than the number of lightning bolts. Maybe there'll be more ...
That's great news. Basically the missing link on the I-80 corridor for my trips back to see the rest of my family. Odd side note: Sheetz tore down one of its locations last year in order to update it, then rebuilt it within in a couple months - the new store had a CHAdeMO charging station. Another Sheetz did the same thing earlier this year and it has nothing for electric vehicles of any type. Wasted opportunity there. Now, I can't complain too much because there's a Supercharger about 20 minutes away, and I wouldn't use it being so close to home (under 5 minutes) but it still would be nice to have one in my city.
Sheetz on Twitter I tweeted Sheetz, asking them outright. They initially promised an answer but so far all I've received is more teasing... but indeed, the future in PA for SuperSheetzchargers looks promising. AND KUDOS @emupilot for getting this info!
I love Sheetz. They've always been far above other gas stations as far as quality and cleanliness go.
Yeah! There's an "orange cone" on supercharge.info. Looking forward to visiting it on my trip back home in a couple of weeks if the construction gods allow...
Yeah, there are two Sheetz in Bellefonte, PA. If one of the Sheetz is getting one it's likely this one --> Google Maps - 820 S Eagle Valley Rd, Bellefonte, PA It's about 2 miles off of 80, so it's at about the perfect location with a close proximity to the interstate. Do you want me to run out there tomorrow to see if anyone knows anything?
This is brilliant. I was looking at supercharge.info yesterday and noticed that (I think) there are only 4 spots on any east-west interstates left that I cannot manage from coast to coast in my 75D: 1. El Paso, TX - Casa Grande, AZ (I-10) 2. Little Rck, AR - Oklahoma City, OK (I-40) 3. Bloomsburg, PA - Macedonia, OH (I-80) and 4. the "North Dakota Hole" (I-94) Other than those, I think I could pick any east-west interstate and drive from Atlantic to Pacific and back, ad infinitum, Forrest Gump electric style. Then the next day, this thread made its way to supercharge.info and the list was shortened to 3. ;-) I expect Tesla must be aware of this too, and I hope that means #s 1 and 2 are imminently about to be filled too. When we might be able to get cross the I-94 may be less certain, but I suppose if Tesla is serious about their alleged "end of 2017" plans, it cannot be too far behind. This is a really cool time to be alive. It's almost like we might get our heads out of our asses and NOT destroy this planet after all.

However, there's a significant diversion forced in Macedonia, OH and West Middlesex, PA (due later this year) could help avoid a stop there. West Middlesex, PA (especially) and Bellefonte, PA are on Tesla's site for later this year. * Just within range. US-322 is just outside that range. ** _But_ a very significant diversion. West Middlesex, PA will be very helpful to allow some people to avoid it.
That was the rumor but then someone checked and it didn't pan out. I called both Sheetz in Bellefonte but came up empty. We need somebody travelling along I-80 (probably in an ICE at this point) to take pictures of this site and look for construction in Bellefonte and West Middlesex.
