Supercharger - Federal Way, WA

This station is the most crowded whenever I drove by

Care to expand on this? I'm not even sure if you mean it's more crowded when you drive by vs. other times or that it's more crowded than other superchargers you drive by (which are???). Anyways, I'm curious if this supercharger is already getting full. With 12 stalls and Auburn nearby, I would be very surprised.

Since a lot more people travel along I-5 this will be a much more popular location than Auburn. I kinda wish they put it near the mall though, Rite Aid parking situation is already pretty crowded while across Hwy 99 the mall parking lot is much emptier.

Just one datapoint, but when I drove by on a weekday afternoon last week it was about 50% full.

I’ve charged there 3 times, all during mid-late afternoons and it was ~25% full each time.

I was looking forward to trying this place out this AM, but the Seattle Service Center had me all charged up before my trip south. Soon, my precious.

I won’t ever NEED this supercharger location - as I live in Tacoma - but i always think it’s fun to see /find other Tesla Owners... I was big into VW TDIs - and now I’m deep into Tesla’s.

Until I moved to a very walkable area, didn't need a car, my mom suddenly needed a new one, and I gave it to her. Then, the diesel stuff happened, my mom wrecked it in an accident, and the settlement ended up being a very good deal for her! They gave her full value of the car despite the damage because the only buyback criteria was that it could run under its own power.

Yea, same thing happened at the Oakhurst CA location at the beginning of last Feb literally days after it opened

What's the motivation? Do the cables contain valuable materials, or is it just to spite Teslas/EVs?

Copper, I think. Same thing happened to the old blink chargers (never repaired, since removed) across the street at the mall when it was a Sears.

I stopped by on Sunday and the place was packed, all 4 stalls were down on the North side and people were staked up waiting. I was thinking it was just vandals but didn't think about the copper in the wires.
