Tesla has filed a permit with the City of Fernie, British Columbia to add a new Supercharger along the Crowsnest Highway in British Columbia.

According to site plans submitted with the permit application, the site will feature just six V3 Supercharger stalls, capable of providing charging speeds of up to 250kW. As part of the requirements to receive funding from Natural Resources Canada (NRC) for the project, the site will also feature two FLO DC fast chargers.

It’s unfortunate they keep making installations that are almost useless for anyone who wants to tow or put something on the rear of the vehicle. Surely they could come up with a better configuration.

They started building in Invermere last week... perhaps the same crew?

The Invermere crew, when asked if there are more they will be working on, said that they will be working on a second Supercharger in Revelstoke next.

A second Revy Supercharger is going in? I hadn't heard about that but very much needed! There was a wait both times I was recently through there during week days. Too many people charging to 100% at every stop.

Yes, I'm hoping they get that supercharger done in Revelstoke before the snow flies. It was such a choke point this summer. I heard it directly from a contractor on site in Invermere who told me that is where he is going next.

Agreed. Those are the same style of garbage cans that were part of other recent Supercharger builds. I believe that Osoyoos and Vernon had the same ones, probably others as well.

Very excited to get this one and the one in castlegar up and running and then I should be able to take the LR model 3 from Lethbridge to Vancouver on the crowsnest!

Supercharger is coming along nicely, however it does look a little wet, and conduit is floating in the pond. Supercharger cabinets are on site, but not yet unwrapped. Hopefully they get this done before the holes freeze over!
