Is this the first Supercharger built on dirt? All the ones that I have followed they cut a trench in an existing parking lot. They are gonna have to pave around those stations.

Yes, it will be paved. From the permit application: "The existing asphalt parking lot will be repaired, resurfaced, and restriped..."

This Supercharger station is located at West Panoche Road and Interstate 5 not far from Firebaugh. The abandoned restaurant was called the Apricot Inn. It was a stop I made on every trip north. They had a pretty slick lunchbox collection on a high shelf near the ceiling. The side of the building facing the freeway is a graffiti-splattered mess. I hear it will be reopened; I hope so. It would get a lot of biz from Tesla owners. These photos were shot at dusk from over the fence yesterday. Pretty cool, huh?

Close enough to Fremont that I would expect Tesla to send out a team for validation in this case.

I understand using concrete around gas pumps to avoid pavement damage from gasoline. Not sure about here.

Cement in this area is GREATLY preferred.

It gets HOT here, Asphalt bunches up and warps easily in the heat in central CA.
