Supercharger - Fort Mill, SC

A new Supercharger is coming soon to the Comfort Inn at Carowinds amusement park!
Permits were issued last week for the "Installation of an electric vehicle station ... and associated electrical equipment" at 3617 Festival Dr in Fort Mill.

That's another Permit for a new Supercharge at a hotel. That's 2 found in 2 days. (Benson, NC the other).

We know hotels can be an ICEing problem for late travelers. I guess the Torringdon Way location is only 8 to 10 miles away if this is ICEd.

Its a great location for going to and from the park, though. I bet that's a fairly common use case.

That's very true, I didn't think about that. When I saw the location all I could think of was the last time I tried to take that exit around 5pm and it took me forever to get through....

Honestly, I wish parks would just put in a few rows of level 2 units, but this works too.

This is going to be a great location, everyone can charge up and get some good fireworks before crossing into NC! Joking aside, this will be slightly more difficult to get in and out of then most off exit charging stations. Overall I think its a good location for those heading north on 77 through CLT. A quick top off here would get you up to Mooresville, Hickory, or Greensboro.

Active construction underway. It appears 4 stalls will be on one side and 8 on another. The section with 8 has one pull in, 5 standard back of the spot stalls, and 2 that are mounted on the side of the spot.

The Columbia supercharger situation is terrible. I always have to stop at that Hilton no matter how hard I try to skip it.

Big update - The station is not turned on but the install is complete and power meter is installed. I would anticipate these going live very soon. Based on what I can see, Tesla just needs to hit the switch.

I haven't been too active on here in quite a while, but what are bike rack and trailer stalls? Are bike rack stalls the back-in and to the side of the spot (rather than behind) and the trailer version the pull-in? But if you have a trailer (looking at your CyberTruck) are you hanging out and blocking the parking lot?
