It would be nice for Wilcox, az to open as well. That by itself would help open up i-10, at least to the higher capacity models.

Just some observations, I have no real information...Drove through FS yesterday - saw nothing.
My commute to Ft. Davis was 6 hr in the ICE, but still a 10 hour trip in the Model S.
Very inconvenient - and driving 70 when everyone else is going 85 is dangerous - I hate it.
Why can't we get info on this?
Is Tesla involved in a lawsuit with Ft Stockton?
What else could it be?
No info because it's no different than any other anticipated location-- Tesla's negotiations with property owners are confidential. I agree with BerTX though, there are few choice locations and there must be some political pressure on them to not deal with Tesla, or the city itself has put up an obstacle as Temple did in the early days of superchargers.Drove through FS yesterday - saw nothing.

By what route? One other observation -- the trip from Junction to Van Horn is only 24 miles longer going through Pecos. Having the Pecos SC would be a workable temporary solution. Too bad the Pecos SC is also MIA...
Yeah, that doesn't really work, does it? 251 miles from Junction to Pecos, normally against the wind, 1200 ft elevation gain, and with an 80 mph speed limit.By what route?

Thanks, yeah. Brain flatulence on my part.Ozona to Pecos is 160 miles, then Pecos to Van Horn is 90 miles. That's 24 miles longer than the 226 from Ozona directly to Van Horn.
Planning a trip from Houston to Carlsbad this summer. Guess I won’t hold my breath for Ft. Stockton and will have to go up to Midland and then over to Carlsbad...

The TxDOT rest stop west of Ft. Stockton? I sure hope not. It's just a bathroom, water fountain, and picnic table in the middle of nowhere.I called several people in Pecos County offices this week. Waiting on a acall back from the C of C.
Hint was dropped: at the new I-10 rest stop west of town.
