It’s open!!! Definitely worth the drive away from the shared 150kW chargers @ Costco!

I saw that the new FV Warner supercharger had lots of availability this morning so I dropped by after dropping the kids at school nearby. Great chargers, all 250kW so no sharing issues. The spots are tighter to back up into; the one by FV Costco let’s you cross over into other spaces and still charge, while the ones at Westminster mall are narrow but you pull forward into them. These are narrow and have the actual supercharger in between the lanes, so you have to line up correctly when backing in or else you won’t be close enough to the charging cable, or you will run into one of the super chargers. For my Model S it got a decent charge speed of 112kW but I’m thinking it’s slow because it was so cold out. I’ve gotten close to 150kW charging speed out in Baker/Barstow/Eddie World. While I was there lots of people going in and out, but it was never completely full.

I was here Sunday night about 8PM and it was full with one car waiting when I arrived. The speeds were pretty good even with the full house. I saw peak rate at 224kW after preconditioning and arriving at 5% SoC, not bad at all. Great to have a V3 in this part of Orange County!

224! Wow, my ancient Model S can only dream of such speeds. On the other hand, I have free unlimited supercharging so I guess I can't complain. I'm hoping the new Model Y I ordered in August will come in soon, so I can see this amazing speed.

It's not necessarily Orange County. The route between San Diego and Los Angeles is considered one of the busiest in the nation.
