Supercharger - Framingham, MA - Concord Street

Creating a thread to track a likely future Tesla supercharger in Framingham, MA. A source indicates one may eventually be built at Old Path Village, 969 Concord St (RT-126), Framingham MA 01701. This is a shopping plaza not far from the original Framingham superchargers rebuilt after a fire a few years back.

MarcoRP found this location last month. With Tesla adding a second Framingham "coming soon" in Q2'23 to their map, it seems likely this will happen. The city of Framingham has no knowledge of this project to date. So probably too early to put a blue pin on supercharge.info.

I live a very few miles away from there. That whole area is very congested, both on weekday afternoons and on weekends.

When visiting friends, I look forward to having pizza: Gianni's Pizza & Subs - Framingham, MA while I top off the car.

Gianni's is our #1 pizza place. But it's also over 3 miles from this proposed SuC location.

A far better 2nd Framingham SuC location would be in the parking lot of the Sheraton on Rte. 9 at exit 111 of Rte. 90. Easy on/off the Pike, far less congestion, lots of space in the parking lot.

This site was added to supercharge.info earlier today mostly to visualize it's proposed location for those that might keep an eye out for happenings there. No further changes in actually permitting or project status recently that we know of.

Permit BLD223021 issued 12/2022 for an updated address of 971 Concord St, also a building within the Old Path Village shopping center.

Swing by today - no obvious clear indication that things will happen soon. A dig safe marking in front by the street that admittedly doesn’t look super recent. Some fencing stacked in back that could be staged but also looked like it could have been there a while.

The mark of good things to come! This, along with digsafe flags around the area say this one's coming soon. Fence up at the nearby Aloft supercharger site - I think these will either both start next week concurrently, or perhaps staggered slightly. My guess is if it weren't for the weather this week these might actually have been underway already.

It will be interesting to see if new construction gets the "magic port" for CSS.

Nothing yet - going to stop predictions. Clearly soon based on the equipment staged at the nearby Aloft hotel project. Crews probably busy at Vernon, CT and Neon project in RI.

Was at the other site in Framingham near Thanksgiving. The place was packed! Not only the superchargers, but, it was located very close to the enter/exit of the parking lot. Bad place. I hope this will work out better.

Should work out nicely. The area really could use the added capacity of 24 additional stalls. It remains to be seen if either site will be built with v4 upgrades in mind but it seems likely IMHO.

And as an FYI I paid a visit to this site last night and it still hasn’t begun.

Thanks. Not surprised. The Framingham "coming soon" pin on Tesla's findus map went from Q3 to "2023" acknowledging the project has been put on hold.
