What about all the chargers around back that were seen at the Model 3 first deliveries event in July? Nobody is talking about those in the total for the factory.
A reply on reddit suggests these will be in a different part of the site, and the current 12 will remain for the use of the showroom area (nothing was said that would suggest these 12
won't remain accessible to the public).

Fred at Electrek scours TMC for newsworthy posts. His article gets it right about the various Tesla Superchargers in the Fremont area but neglects to mention the nearly completed Supercharger - Fremont Hub Shopping Center (Near completion) which will help a lot in the East Bay.
Its hard to believe its been five years since Fremont's sole supercharger went online. I hope it isnt another five years before we get another SC in the local vicinity, given this area hosts the second largest concentration of Teslas in the world.
Upthread a link to the permit (to build 40 Supercharger stalls at 45500 Fremont Blvd) was posted, so you can check for yourself, see Accela Citizen Access .
Here is the project description as stated in the permit: “Supercharger Substation and Supercharging Parking, Phase II. Provide anchorage for 40 superchargers and 40 dispensing stations. Provide electrical power to the equipment.”
