A new Supercharger is coming soon to the Canadian Tire in Gananoque, about 30km east of Kingston. No indication on the number of stalls, although logic would dictate 8.

Any Supercharger along the 401 will be of benefit (especially when Tesla starts allowing other manufacturers' EVs access to the SC Network) but this one is so close to Kingston that it will be minimally beneficial to most travelers wile the network is still Tesla exclusive. What is really needed to give the greatest benefit on the 401 in eastern Ontario is the long "planned" but still to be acted upon Brockville location. While any Tesla can travel from Cornwall to Kingston it is a long gap in the depths of winter and for people joining the 401 after traveling on other highways this can be an inconvenient and stressful gap.

Kings Crossing Kingston to Smart Centres Brockville: 82km
CT Gananoque: 52km

Looks like the gap is shorten by 30km.

Is there anyone who can get updated pictures? Tesla's findus page says this has a target opening of Q3 which ends in 2 weeks. I'd guess they should be close to done construction now if they want Hydro to turn it on before the end of the month.

Even if Tesla is complete and "wants" it powered quickly that means absolutely ZERO to Hydro One!!! Many "completed" SCs have waited for weeks even months for power to be provided from the local utility provider. And then once the power is hooked up Tesla has to complete commissioning work.

That's what I mean. If they're finished now, and Hydro One takes 2 weeks, it'll be on in Q3. If they're still building it right to the 30th, there's very little likelihood of hydro one turning them on that day.
