Supercharger- Glendale, WI (Bay Shore Mall)

I talked with the building inspector at city hall in Glendale today. He said Tesla plans on installing superchargers on Level 2 of (East) Lydell Parking Garage right next to Target pending permit approval. Probably within the next week. ONLY access is off of Lydell Ave. I drove up there today. PLENTY of space for them!

That’s super interesting since back in Nov I posted that about hearing 3rd hand that they would be located in the parking garage. I drove up there and found no signs though.
Next to the Culver’s seems like the obvious spot but maybe not here. I will agree there is absolutely space for them in the parking structure.

That's a really out-of-the-way spot for a Supercharger. The exit/on-ramps for I-94 are complicated for thru-travel and driving down Silver Spring is not the friendliest experience. Glad the area is getting one, though!
I totally agree and I used to live near there. It is not a straight forward exit and charge and back on. Also with construction the highway 43, I believe all summer of 2022, it will get more complicated. But it is a good distance to Oak Creek, Sheboygan or Menomonee Falls so physically it's a good place, just not a convenient one. I would have chosen Brown Deer, maybe behind Sendik's, although I heard they are totally redoing that exchange as well, which really needs it,

I live close to BayShore. The structure sees little to no cars. There is no fee and no gates. Ramp shoots straight up to the 2nd level so no round and round to get there. They changed the ramp so that you can get in and out quickly just off Lydell Ave. It will be ok.
Yep, it will work fine and being covered is a plus during bad weather. Any signs of actual construction happening yet?

Finally! Confirmed pictures from the WI Tesla Club, Confirmed to be in the Parking Ramp:

Bayshore Town Center Blue parking garage level 2, west wall. Basically directly above the entry ramp, across Port Washington Rd from the i43 exit...

43°07'15.6"N 87°54'58.4"W is the 'drop pin' coordinates from Google Maps.

Glendale, WI

Host Type: Mall
Host: Bayshore
Along Primary Interstates: I-43
Along US Numbered Highways (<=5mi): None
Along Auxiliary Interstates: None

I-43

From: Greenfield, WI - 14.9 miles
To: Sheboygan, WI - 49.4 miles
Diversion: 0.7 miles
From: Start (I-39 near Beloit, WI) - 77 miles
To: End (Howard, WI) - 113.3 miles

Splitter! Well, Greenfield, WI was found first and neatly splits the current gap, but it looks like Glendale, WI will open first.

I stopped by today and they were actively working on the cabinets. There's high voltage AC coming in via conduit on the ceiling of the ground level of the garage (there's already a bunch of high voltage equipment there and a brand new HV cutoff switch), going over to three charger cabinets also in the ground floor next to the ramp. It looks like they had just finished installing the cabinets and the DC lines to the pedestals will go through the floor to the 2nd level right above the ramp. Pedestals were not installed yet.

It's a great spot!

Update from today is not much of an update but there are clearly 12 supercharger spots. There are holes in the concrete for the power (with orange cones in each) and clearly a 4 bolt pattern for each station.
Also, this is directly above the parking ramp entrance from Port Washington Road. Pretty straightforward access from Interstate 43, particularly traveling north, but the ramp is steep and could be tough for anyone who has lowered their car.

I stopped by today and the conduit for high voltage DC to the pedestals is in (but no wiring) on the main floor. Also there is no meter in the high voltage AC cutoff box. Up on the 2nd floor the pedestals and parking stops seem to have arrived and are staged for installation.
