There is a new 8 stall V3 Supercharger under construction in Golden BC at the Fas Gas Plus/Tim Hortons on Highway 1 near the visitor centre, across the highway about 300 metres SE of the existing 4 stall V2 Supercharger. Google There are signs for 8 stalls and some equipment installed, with two pedestals for cabinets under construction. Thanks go to Model 3 Canadian Group user MiKe Baier for the original info, and Tesla Owners Club of Alberta member Greg Petti for photos.
Thanks @Xelloss99 - I've just added it to sc.info - not sure what to call it, I thought about "Golden - East" and "Golden - Northbound", but I've gone with "Golden - Trans-Canada Hwy" for now. A bit confusing since they're both in practice on the highway, but the original site is technically on 12st Street so it's different enough! Not sure what Tesla will use - and it's entirely likely they'll decommission the old site anyway. Will have to wait and see...
its actually TC westbound -northside service road. this is very welcome news as the existing 4 stall has had 2 stalls in and out of service all summer.
Wow, great news! I wonder if they will also add stalls/sites in Canmore and Revelstoke... Edit: Also, interesting how they installed the signs before the chargers here - kinda gives it away!
The other two existing locations getting more V3s are Kamloops and Kelowna according to one of the MarcoP one of the users TMC.
So I would assume Tesla is upgrading the 4/6 stall locations along this corridor from Vancouver to Calgary, to V3 with 8 stalls? That would be ideal for all the locations, 8 stalls V3, especially with the huge influx of new Tesla owners in BC and AB.
Kamloops i believe is done. It went from a 4 stall to a 6 stall. i used 1 of the new stalls it is a V2
It would be nice(r) to put a charger at Lake Louise to make travel up the Icefields Parkway to Jasper easier... assuming they get around to putting the charger in Jasper.
This station just went into construction on supercharge.info - Does anyone know if this is a V3 and/or stall increase?
Hmmm, this sounds like a pretty decent lead on another possible construction site. And Canmore isn't that big...
Nothing since last photos - the transformer is still missing - more bad news - mid week mid day 3 stalls iced, by drivers pulling right up to a sign that says charging only - who would have no idea that nothing is connected. This location is too close to the doors to be a “good” location for a supercharger
But the last photos showed charging pedestals not yet installed. That would seem to be a good clue that nothing is connected?
I wonder why the delay from the utility? The sooner they go live the sooner they start making money. I wonder if any members in the community reached out them?
