There were several electrician trucks and at least 4 of their staff were on site at 10 this morning. Appears they rigged a blue tarp cover to work on the electric boxes. So some progress was made today despite the rain.

No one had been there as of lunchtime. Someone just posted a picture of the Pismo Beach build, which was "found" March 13, I'll bet that one is open before ours.

Very little done today, a bit more fencing, but something kind of odd. They put poles between each of the stations. I think the cones were covering the holes where they put them. What do you think the poles are for?

“High volume use site charging limited to 80% only.”

Don’t forget the: “Open parking limited to 2 hours” or some such nonsense.

These are coveted ICE spots. But Tesla should likely rent 12 more directly across from the stalls for those waiting. Anyone think that would be enough?

Judging from the number of people haunting this thread, they’ll need 100 parking spots!

I just hope to heck it doesn’t become another Oxnard. I can just envision all the stalls filled with local Costco shoppers who don’t really need to charge, but hog the spaces anyway. Hope not, but highly likely!

I'm very glad it's coming, but I don't think they could have picked a worse place to put it in the parking lot. I remember over Christmas Tesla had a couple of guys at the Buellton charger, I'll bet someone's full time job is going to be trying to keep order here. I don't see where you wait, though, everywhere around it would be in the way.

Step 1) Build the darn thing.

looks like they have most of the barrier installed around the equipment as of today. Hopefully they have scheduled a batch plant for the asphalt. I am eager to try out V3.

Looking at it, I'm wondering if you are on to something. The landscape project to the left side of it almost looks like it's merged into one project.

Barrier is 95% complete. They have got the gravel n fill to be compacted in place. Hope they got this down to the next couple days

ahh... don’t forget to allow time for Tesla to software it in to their network, then testing and then the city inspection. Weeks? We may see a test car charging before it is open. You know, just to tease us.

Welp folks. THIS has GOT to be THE week. They successfully transplanted 3 whimpy trees and cleaned up the subject site. Looks like the barrier was complete after all. I didnt imagine them leaving an opening like that. Anyhow, looks like they just gotta prep, place n compact asphalt. draw a few lines n we are locked n loaded. “Ecstatic” obviously had to be in the picture again.
