Well grump. I was there shortly after 5.... no one charging. No signs, workers or barriers to stop me... seemed inviting...so I pulled up to a middle one..... it was “buzzing”. Never heard that before. I plugged in and got the orange flashing light, so I disconnected and left. Maybe I just happened to be there when they were running some remote tests....

got there shortly after 7. nobody plugged in, plugged into one of the middle ones. i do agree there was some time of noise going on in one of the nearby chargers, not sure if it was the one i was using. Anyhow, felt so damn great to be one of the first, and nobody else around!

Tried again this morning. No one here 7:00 - 7:40 am. Tried the 2nd last stall (closest to Hollister). At least it was not buzzing. Again, got orange flashing light. Removed and replaced, got blue flashing light. Wiggled it and got the pleasant green flashing light.

But only charging at 53 kW. Predicting 15 mins to charge. But maybe that’s appropriate at 63% battery.

8 mins later still predicting 15 mins, down to 44 kW.

None of the stalls are numbered. Does that mean they are not done or that this station does not share stalls?

Stall 8 from Hollister is the one buzzing. It sounds like stall 2 where I am charging. But it’s hard to tell if any others are buzzing as there is leaf blowing going on... naturally.

I tend to keep my battery at 55-70% per articles suggesting that “may be optimum” for battery life. After 39k miles and 2.9 years, 70% is 227 miles for me. New, it was closer to 235. About a 3.5% drop. More telling is the Wh/mi change. New it was pretty near the rated 300 W/hr. Lifetime it’s now 315.... last 6000 miles, 335. So actual miles per unit power is going up fast than batter degradation is going down.... or I am just driving harder... :)

22 mins later, 5 min left. Now at 35 kW or 116 mi/hr.

Done. 30 mins to add 70 miles to the tank. Takes it to about 84%.
