Supercharger - Greenfield, CA (LIVE 15 Dec 2020, 12 V3 stalls)

Figured with the Paso Robles completion, that Greenfield would start - maybe after the holiday weekend.
It's only been 2 months since Tesla had their site design/planning approval hearing. That is generally not long enough for them to get a building permit approved and issued. So, it's unlikely for them to start just yet. My baseline assumption is ~4 months from planning approval to building permit approval. How long after that they wait before starting construction is a real toss up. Hopefully they'll break ground by the end of the year.

So..... curious where the Paso Robles crew is heading next then.

Stopped by today...significant construction under way. Going to be more in the middle of the parking lot between the grocery and the Burger King, by the looks of it.

Pull throughs look like they were outside the design envelope. Might be able to do it on the ends, though.

pics are today.

That design will be helpful for those towing trailers; when this location isn’t busy they can charge without unhitching, like at the Petaluma Supercharger.

Long distance travel on 101 between SF and LA is getting ridiculously easy as there are so many more Superchargers on that route compared to just a few years ago.

Will someone who is nearby do a drive-by and post a status update? I will need to use this Supercharger (if it is working) on a road trip next week.

Probably won’t be through there in the next few days, but with the new V3 SCs open in Gilroy and Paso, you should be fine in between, and Salinas is always there if you need it, although it’s a long ways (comparatively) off the freeway.

Threw me at first since it's 0.8 miles. But the traffic lights make it seem longer. Paso Robles shows 1.8 miles. Gilroy is 0.3 (old) and 0.7 miles (new).

So this will be one of the fastest on-off 101 SC's in that area, correct? Can't wait.

Could probably throw a ball from the freeway to the chargers (although Oxnard may actually be closer remembering one pedestal got wiped out by a car from the freeway). But Greenfield definitely is in contention since distance 'driving' from freeway to charger is pretty darn short.
