I drove through Harrisburg on Saturday and made a quick stop to check out the Superchargers. I have never seen a Supercharger station before and I wanted to check them out and take a fun photo before quickly moving on. Hopefully my Model 3 will plug in when it arrives, because I couldn't figure out how to hook this thing up to my Jeep truck!
I arrived around 3pm and every stall was empty. When I was leaving a beautiful 90D MX pulled in for a quick charge before heading north. I asked and he said he is not a member of TMC.

You silly person, you backed into a pull-in stall.
Harrisburg has a problem with some chargers dropping to 60 amps after about 10 mins of charging . I reported to SuperCharger service and they were aware of the problem . They suggested 1A and 4A were most reliable.

For what it's worth, I had no trouble whatsoever with 1A late Friday night. Good to know there's an intermittent problem, thanks for posting.

I wonder how much power the snail is using at the Harrisburg supercharger......

ahhh the secret to Tesla's Super Charger program... that snail is PROVIDING an electricity boost... not the other way around...

HAH- i was there yesterday and he was inside on the upper left corner of the red plastic on the 4th charger in. Darker shell though- very possibly a different snail. If he's spotted again- i feel he will need a name......

Probably never, that would be a good site for destination chargers, not superchargers.

Construction starting on I 83 South right after Union Deposit Road. Slow going getting to the supercharger.
I didn't have Waze or Tesla nav active so I don't know if an alternate route is suggested when exiting I 81.

Coming from state college I tried taking Cameron st exit and cutting through the neighborhood to avoid the beltway. That was a massive fail. I doubt using it to get back to 322 west would help either.
Massive long-term construction project going on right now on 83. Changing out bridges and eventually widening the highway. Traffic is really only crazy during the rush hour times in the morning and evening.

There are lots of back ways to get to that SC, consult your Waze for the best route.

Seeing the Harrisburg SC has "power supported by Weis" I'm wondering if there is any indication other Weis locations might also become a SC location?
I believe I saw that another grocery store is doing this as well. It makes a lot of sense for these locations.
Spending $5 to charge a car while you spend $100 on groceries seems like a fair trade...
