There is no reason to move a cone and try plugging in if the Tesla logo on the stalls are not illuminated. That is the key visual indicator for V3 superchargers that the stall is powered.A friend just stopped by. He said there are cones in front of the chargers and the lights on top weren’t on.
I’m trying to convince him to move a cone and plug in anyway.
It will be activated and live days before showing up in-car and on Tesla.com/findus. It will also be free for a short time - for those of you who don’t have free unlimited Supercharging.I was going off of the Tesla charger map and the other responses here. I’m new. I assumed Tesla would update their maps when it went online officially.
Cool! I didn’t know that. Thanks for informing me. I’ll check later today. I won’t be driving my Tesla though so I won’t be able to test the charging. It will be activated and live days before showing up in-car and on Tesla.com/findus. I’ll move the cone! Not scared!A friend just stopped by. He said there are cones in front of the chargers and the lights on top weren’t on.

They weren’t exactly in the way. I would have tried if I took the Tesla down there.I’ll move the cone! Not scared!
The new charger on the South side of Louisville went live on Sept 30 and still doesn’t show on PlugShare or the in-car charger map.Cool! I didn’t know that. Thanks for informing me. I’ll check later today. I won’t be driving my Tesla though so I won’t be able to test the charging.
Any chance you have stopped by since the weekend to see if they are open yet??They weren’t exactly in the way. I would have tried if I took the Tesla down there.
My prediction is quickly approaching. . Anyone think I’ll be wrong? (I hope I am not.) HahaIt probably won’t be completed / through with all permits and switched on until Oct 8th or 9th, if prior experiences are any indication. (Here’s to hoping for sooner.)
Years of driving cross country in my Tesla tell me not to plan any trips on “hope”. Definitely don’t make or change a trip until the nav reflects it is up and running. It is only a 50/50 chance of it working in your favor if it doesn’t show “available” within the nav. (Just thought I’d share for those who haven’t learned the hard lesson of being without a charger on the road. I try to learn from others.)
No, and unfortunately it will be a couple weeks before I head down there again. You could maybe call the mach-1 service station and try to convince them to tell you.Any chance you have stopped by since the weekend to see if they are open yet??
It's unlikely they would be a reliable source of information. The best you could do is call after dark and ask if the red TESLA logos are lit up. That would at least be an indicator that electricity is flowing to the pedestals. No, and unfortunately it will be a couple weeks before I head down there again. She fits nicely on the floor under the kiddo's seats She wasn't happy to suddenly be the only one in the car! (I turned on dog mode right after this photo- we didn't forget her!)Took me a second to realize that was a dog in your back seat. Looked like a scary face lol
