Welp. Looks like this is the beginning of the end for the Design Studio supercharger. I can’t imagine that stays open and publicly available after this one opens.

I always wondered about the Tesla design studio. SpaceX was bursting at the seams several years ago. I'm quite sure SpaceX would happily take over that parking lot, design studio building and anything else it could get its hands on. Maybe the SpaceX CEO should have a chat with the Tesla CEO about that ;)

Let’s not suggest he has a reason to talk to himself. He’s off kilter enough to my liking, lol!

Sounds like a story told about Braxton Bragg:
In his memoirs, Ulysses S. Grant passed on a story he had heard about Bragg before the [US Civil] war where Bragg was supposedly a quartermaster and the acting company commander: “I have heard in the old army an anecdote very characteristic of Bragg. On one occasion, when stationed at a post of several companies commanded by a field officer, he was himself commanding one of the companies and at the same time acting as post quartermaster and commissary. He was first lieutenant at the time, but his captain was detached on other duty. As commander of the company he made a requisition upon the quartermaster—himself—for something he wanted. As quartermaster he declined to fill the requisition, and endorsed on the back of it his reasons for so doing. As company commander he responded to this, urging that his requisition called for nothing but what he was entitled to, and that it was the duty of the quartermaster to fill it. As quartermaster he still persisted that he was right. In this condition of affairs Bragg referred the whole matter to the commanding officer of the post. The latter, when he saw the nature of the matter referred, exclaimed: ‘My God, Mr. Bragg, you have quarrelled with every officer in the army, and now you are quarrelling with yourself!’ ” [Ulysses S. Grant, Personal Memoirs, Chapter 44]

I hope these are V3, if not hopefully design center supercharger stays lit
First picture in this post, two above yours, shows 4 V3 supercharger cabinets to the right of the switchgear. No need to wonder or hope if you just learn to recognize the hardware that is almost always shown in pictures posted to these threads. The V3 cabinets look markedly different from the V2 ones--V2 front view, back view--and it's dead simple to identify them. V3 are larger, squarer, and most obviously have the vent/grille on top.
