I try to take some pics this weekend.

Was there an hour ago - construction looks pretty complete. There's still a lot of stuff piled around but if they cleared that up, it looks like they'd be good to go. I'm sure they'll have to do testing and inspections and whatnot, but the infrastructure sure went up quick.

And still the app says it's in 'permit' stage. Better than the tesla website, which still says they're gonna put it in Gainesville.

This is a great location for anyone heading into NoVa/DC or around DC from Virginia/NC. It makes the trip in via Charlottesville rather than I-95 easy.

What are those white cabinets to the right? They’re definitely part of tge new construction.

Those are where the chargers are actually housed. The part that is in front of each charging space is really just a cable assembly that connects back to those charging cabinets.

We drove by this last weekend, excellent location for the area!

Stupid Question (tm) but I do assume this is the planned ‘Gainesville’ site from ‘findus’? Assume this was the best location they could get a deal with!

Pretty sure it is. Apparently they were gonna put it at the Cabelas in Gainesville but they backed out. Probably just as well they moved it - the traffic around there is far worse, and it'd be further from the road.

Saw electrical guys working here today, asked if they knew when it’d be up and running. He said he’s not supposed to say but ‘probably very soon’.

Stopped by yesterday. Looks like Dominion Energy still needs to put in the transformer. See attached pics.
