Supercharger hole - Olean, Ellicottville, or Salamanca?

Where best to fill last (?) big NY southern tier hole -

In the long run the gap needs to be filled but exactly where probably is not crucial. I'm slightly partial to Olean for reasons that go back many, many years, and have nothing to do with Tesla.;)

I passed through Salamanca yesterday and spent a few minutes scouting. No sign of supercharger construction at the casino, Holiday Inn Express, or other establishments on Broad St. I went down to Tim Horton's and circled back.

I may have been a little early for "Target opening by end of 2018".

Not sure what the forum etiquette is on thread necro, but...

I'm from Western NY myself, and I think it's cool that there are users on here who know the area. I grew up east of Olean and went to community college there before going to Fredonia for my undergrad.

In relevant news that would make this worth necro'ing, the Salamanca supercharger is due to open by the end of this year, which would be huge for me. Currently I can get to home in my Model 3, but charging options are so limited when I'm there that it makes the whole thing moderately stressful - or severely so, thinking about driving down in the winter when the battery can lose a charge.

Going on 4 years since the last post here, and over 5 since the first post...

We know of course that Salamanca was the big winner here, but that site turned out to potentially be problematic for me (turned out okay because I was able to charge overnight at the Hampton Inn in Olean). The issue is that when heading back home after visiting family/friends in Wellsville, Olean, our route would take us west on 86 and then south on 219 through Bradford. Salamanca is about 30 minutes (round trip) out of the way past the 219 exit. If I hadn't been able to charge in Olean, this would have been a bit of a bummer at the start of a long trip. Erwin <-> Salamanca is still a big gap (110 miles) so something is needed along that stretch. Hornell, Belmont, or Olean seem like good candidates (Olean doesn't split as well, but it's a more developed area).
