Supercharger - Houston, TX - 12523 Westheimer Road

Anybody who has ever spent time in Houston knows that you can't do much in Houston without driving down Westheimer Road. It looks like Tesla is confirming that. There is now a line of 5 red or blue dots on the Westheimer corridor. This will be the best covered "Farm to Market" road in Texas. I drove though this parking lot last night. There are no signs of construction.

Construction has begun. It's 4 prefab units for 16 stalls, total. I didn't see any signs of a transformer, ground or pole mounted. It's situated in a bit of a tight space for backing in and pulling out due to the proximity to customer parking for the businesses in the strip-center. The location is exactly as indicated in homero89's original post. I would guess this location will serve more local apartment dwellers than visiting travelers. If you are traveling through, there's Burger King, Starbucks, Taco Bell, and Smoothie King in the same parking lot. The McDonalds across Dairy Ashford is open 24 hours, so there should always be a bathroom available.

Based on the setup (overheads 20 ft away) and lack of trenching to a transformer pad (which would be hard to miss), I'm guessing 2 banks of pole mounted transformers like the Shenandoah locations. The
