FYI - the SC at Yale/10 above the Sprouts and LA Fitness just opened. 35 stalls. For those in the area and not wanting to wait…

Easy access from I-10; 35 stalls; grocery/gym/shopping/dining options are the key advantages of the SCer.

Location is online but was not showing as active on my car.

At 35 stalls - wrapped around the two car corners of the upper parking lot - it’s the largest SC location to-date within Houston.

It’s on the southern side of I-10 meaning eastbound traffic will have easiest on/off and for through town traffic via 10 this location will be easier to access than the Galleria from a traffic perspective.

Power cabinets are located where the two banks of SC’er meet.

And there’s immediate access to a LA Fitness and Sprouts (of which the lot is built atop).

Here’s a picture of the sign showing all the stores at the site; this is also a good visual navigation point too as the ramp up to the SCers is adjacent to this sign. The sign should be visible from eastbound feeder road for those looking for the entrance.

Alabama is a horrible SC location. HEB probably begged them to get to get the hell out of town. I think the Trader Joe spot will more than make up for these 8 stations. Plus Yale is literally 5 minutes away. Good riddance!

I agree that it was a bad location due to high HEB demand for the extra parking spaces for shopping.

This is the one I’d charge at when in area due to it being closest to UT health . It was a horrible location since it’s right next to a busy entrance/exit.

Stalls have been removed, but cabinets are still there. They have a sign pointing to the Yale St chargers.

Yup, it got too busy and things got too crazy. I remember going and it was really difficult to maneuver, too. Especially with other HEB customers trying to navigate in between. I’m pretty sure HEB also pushed for the exit.

But there’s a new one a few blocks east of there that just opened up.

No more equipment, concrete footings have been removed and holes re-concreted.

Per Tesla staff (not showroom staff ) it was a couple of fist fights, and being in the way of delivery vehicles that lead to H-E-B wanting to remove them.).

The site was simply undersized for the area, and poorly placed
