Supercharger - Howe, IN

What's wrong with it? I've never been there but will probably need to use it next week.

It’s slow and the only business is a tired Ramada Inn and a restaurant with ok food, odd Sunday hours and no masks during the pandemic.

Howe Eastbound is active, although still not showing in car. Charging here now.

It appears this site may be getting some eventual upgrades. It was awarded a NEVI award from the state. (Both EB and WB are listed - link and picture are of WB)

These will be CCS chargers. Hopefully they'll have NACS handles by then though(wishful thinking for a government operation)

If I'm not mistaken there are already some CCS at this location? Though I'm guessing slow like 50KwH or something?

My understanding is that when Tesla has been awarded NEVI grants that they have been superchargers with magic docks to comply with the CCS requirement. So I would expect that this grant will be either upgrades to the existing superchargers or new capacity with magic docks.

Ah yeah that makes sense. They have to be CCS though so magic dock for sure.
