Unfortunately I can't edit the first post, so here is an update:

Plus as a bonus: Handy guide to checking council records for DA updates! (Google Sheet link)
This is basically a fancy list of links, but the idea is that you choose a site that no-one has checked recently and then browse the DAs for progress - then update with your name and date so people know it has been checked.

still no sign of any superchargers for Tassie...sniff...why has Lord Elon forsaken us...

watching this for something to happen in Campbell Town:

Development Applications - Northern Midlands Council
I suspect that its really a combination of numbers and distances - with fewer cars visiting and the (relatively compared to the mainland) short distance for trips it's probably a lower priority than some of the regional mainland sites.

I'd love to drive my S around Tassie, but to be honest it's dramatically more cost effective to fly and hire a car than to pay for the ferry. Admittedly that would mean putting up with an inferior car, which makes other destinations more appealing. I'm sure that I'm not alone here.

Hopefully you will get one soon.

I've done it!
Ferry is definitely a nuisance though, takes a lot of time and not very comfortable.
Driving around Tassie was pretty easy with the usual planning...
