Thank you! do you live nearby? can you please post a few more pics of the nearby establishments, Is there any restaurants nearby?

Yah, there's definitely a handful of food options in about a 5 minute walking radius.

The Esso station itself has a small but pretty well stocked food market. The hotel in the background of the photo is Copper Point, and there is a fancy-ish restaurant there. On the other side of the Esso is the Black Forest (only open for dinner). If you keep walking, there's a Tim Hortons, plus a small cluster of shacks/trucks for ice cream/poutine/BBQ.

Finally! Been waiting for years, my 70KWH battery can't make it from Canmore to Coeur delaine, however you spell that. Before the pandemic used to charge at the BC office, now I hear they charge you. Then walk a couple blocks to the pizza joint for the buffet. That's probably gone forever. I would also stop in Creston at the visitor info center, then walk up the street for a donut. This Invermere supercharger is gonna save me some pounds :D
My Mom asks when I'm going to visit, I tell her when this supercharger is done.

I’ve overnighted at Copper Point and in Radium. Wasn’t much really near the Esso because it’s right on the highway, but probably more there now. I always went to the Level 2 charger at Kicking Horse Coffee, just because.

There are a number of Level 2 chargers in the area, but this SC and Cranbrook will really help the trip to Coeur d’Alene. My biggest problem was the bicycle on the back of my 70 D dropped my range by 30%. I had to stop in Cranbrook for hours, mountain biking around town while waiting for the charging to give me enough. Really excited to see these two SCs.

Progress from this morning. All 8 stalls are up, I can’t really tell where the FLO stations are coming in though

Supercharger looks to be complete, FLO stations have not yet been installed but it looks like they put in some DC inverters for them across the entrance and some conduit. No meter installed yet, but hopefully will be online soon

This isn't an NRCan funded site so Tesla has no requirements for installing Flo chargers here and the photos have no indication that any will be installed.

The grey cabinets are disconnect/breaker cabinets for the Supercharger cabinets (white cabinets). The utility transformer still needs to be installed on the pad behind the grey cabinets, and the meter still needs to be installed.

Wasn’t able to snap pictures, but were the exposed conduit was now has a bug green electrical box, plus the meter is now installed! Won’t be long until this location is live! I will take some pictures tomorrow morning
Sounds encouraging. Makes me wonder if the crew that did this site has moved on to one of the other Kootenay sites; Cranbrook, Fernie, Creston or Castlegar (even Revelstoke if they decide to add capacity there).

not online yet, talked to staff and they are waiting on BC hydro and should be online in the next 2 weeks. I can’t wait, as without these online my trip to Banff took 3.5 hours of charging instead of 25 minutes total. The price of being an early adopter, but I’m willing to make it work.

Even without the Invermere site, I would have thought that Cranbrook to Banff was possible without charging in some situations (depending on weather. car model, etc.). Looks like it is around 300 km. Nevertheless, more charging options are better. Looking forward to your updates on other sites in the East Kootenays.
