Looks as if an Ithaca Supercharger is coming. No specific location yet.

Weird... There's such a big hole to the west, near Olean. And, there's the Seneca Casino near Olean - a much easier place to get a SC set up. I'm west of Ithaca (Naples, NY) and the Corning SC is just fine to use if I'm headed that way.
I guess if you head east on 86, you get a lot of options. Head west, and you're pretty much limited to heading a little north to get to Eastern Hills mall. Doesn't make a lot of sense...

There's a Coming Soon at Salamanca, which is right where the Seneca Allegany casino happens to be. I wouldn't doubt we will see one there before long. I was told 2018 by someone at one point. Has anyone done any scouting around Ithaca? I am trekking up there later this Summer from Pittsburgh, and it sure would be nice to have both of these in place!

I'm headed right passed that casino tomorrow afternoon. I've already been planning to take a look. I will definitely be a frequent charger at that location and can't wait.. Now, I have to trek all the way up to Eastern Hills Mall (in the greater Buffalo area) for a top-off.

It won't be easy to find a good location in Ithaca. The only locations near big substations are really desolate. Locations you'd want to go to aren't car-oriented. The car-oriented strip is practically controlled by a single enormous auto dealership. Best choice would probably be Wegmans, but I don't think they've ever worked with Tesla.

I honestly don't know if this site is ever going to appear. It's been on the "coming soon" map for a long time, but there's nothing in the Ithaca planning board notes about it. It may be that they'd actually put it in the Triphammer area in Lansing - that's where the malls are.

Check out Plugshare if you're in the area and need to charge. There are actually a lot of L2 chargers around, including at a lot of the state parks, downtown parking garages, and on the Cornell campus.

Does anyone know why Supercharge.info just listed Ithaca NY as under construction (usually reserved for evidence of construction/Tesla equipment), but the link to “discuss” is a broken one, and there’s no discussion here of it being under construction?

Yeah, no idea. I'd say there's a ~75% chance of it being legit though because if you zoom in on the parking lot where they placed the pin there's a Panera Bread there. :D
