The SC in Johnson City appears to have opened.not optimistic that this site will be operational for Thanksgiving... will have to stay on 35 on the way down to SA...
Plugshare shows it as a coming soon wall plug (120V) and they’re supposed to update it once it shows up as an active Supercharger on the FindUs page. I’ve already reported it, but the more people that report it, the better.Interesting that the “Find Us” Supercharger map on the Tesla website shows the Johnson City SC using the Destination Charger icon. If you click on it, it shows Supercharger information.
PlugShare doesn’t show it at all.
Thats how plugshare insist on handling "coming soon" superchargers - its a real PITAPlugshare shows it as a coming soon wall plug (120V) and they’re supposed to update it once it shows up as an active Supercharger on the FindUs page. I charged there last night with zero problems. All, I dont know if this matters now, but late Saturday 12/4 when I came through there (driving back from Starbase) - this SC was coned off and closed. The car told me on navigation that "Superchargers are closed on your intended route" - so it had me charge another 5-10% at 3 Rivers to get me home without running out of juice. So, Im not sure whats going on - it may be open again, maybe not.
Cheers

Drone shot?Visited today. First one I'm aware of on US 281.
That color !! Nice. Should be a wrap.Visited today. First one I'm aware of on US 281.
Next need one at Lampasas and Glen Rose for a good alternate routing to San Antonio from DFW.That color !! Nice. Should be a wrap.
I used my Parrot Anafi to take a couple of photos and post one on Plugshare. Seems more helpful than a lot of the typical charger photos.Drone shot?
I agree that Evant would be an excellent location. It's a tiny town, but it's a crossroads, and the town square has a large amount of parking space, is easy to get in and out, and there are cafes and shopping right around it.Lampassas would be fine but Evant would be better. It's a crossroads.
Interesting. Just figured lampasas would make a good jumping off point for an eventual San Angelo SC as well as getting to Cisco SC going Northwest.I agree that Evant would be an excellent location. Lampasas is also useful for folks heading NW out of Austin and is still a crossroads (albeit w/ 183). But Evant would be nice for a route to DFW that avoids I-35. So my compromise: Evant AND Goldthwaite / Brownwood.Lampassas would be fine but Evant would be better. It's a crossroads.
