I also live in Joplin drove by the other day and took this picture.

Any update on the new location? Will be using the new one if available tomorrow on the maiden trip after picking up model y in KC heading for Tulsa area.

Nope. Nothing has been done for the past two weeks now.

Thanks. Stopped at the old Joplin location for a quick charge. 4 other Tesla’s being charged up along side. Had a very nice chat with another owner as we charged up.

The news reporter seems to think using a converter, you'll be able to charge other makes of cars with the Tesla SC's. Nothing like informed and in-depth reporting.

That could be taken a couple of ways.

The supercharger installation appears to be complete but is currently not turned on. I tried plugging in but the car didn’t register anything. Probably just awaiting inspection!

Pan left! The transformer is what really matters at this point. Can't turn it on without a power source.

I’ll take a picture tomorrow but it was installed and locked in the usual enclosed area you see at other superchargers.

You might be able to take a pic over the top of the enclosure. I've never seen one with a roof.

The Supercharger enclosure at the Atlantis in Reno has a roof unless they changed something. We were quite surprised to see it at the ribbon cutting ceremony. It was like an oven in there, especially on sunny days.

Just to do the whole hand holding thing ...

The electricity comes from a power pole and/or buried cable somewhere, through the meter, to the transformer, to the white Tesla cabinets, then to the stall equipment.

We can see the Tesla equipment in your picture. Checklist for success:

• The white Tesla cabinets are likely already in the enclosure.
• The (probably) green transformer is present in or near the enclosure.
• There is a meter present. It can be found attached to the transformer or on a pole or panel near the transformer
• The meter is powered up and displaying numbers
• The transformer should have a hum that you can hear within 1-2 meters of it.
• The "TESLA" letters at the top of the charging pillars are illuminated

Most of these steps need some kind of checkout or inspection by a different person from an organization with their own priorities. We might see everything switched on tomorrow or it might take another month. Knowing where we are with this checklist is helpful.
