Finally, more Superchargers on the South Island on a critical route!

The title for the Supercharger says Blenheim but the map points to Kaikoura so we'll have to see where it ends up being. Either option is useful

In less good news, the dots for Auckland (North Shore) and New Plymouth have disappeared.

Weve also had 6 deletions in Australia in the past few hours, plus a whole heap of pushbacks and a few new sites.

So no grey dots on the NZ Tesla map at all.

It might be because Kaikoura is also on the Supercharger Voting page. Prior to today, Blenheim was showing as coming soon and Kaikoura was up for vote...so maybe now they're choosing between one or the other. Kaikoura would be better for those travelling from Christchurch north as the older SR+ cars can't make it to Blenheim

Kaikoura was a "winner" from the recent Voting cycle and is now marked on the map for 2024!

Blenheim has disappeared so it looks like this site will replace it.

I've just noticed that although Kaikōura was a supercharger voting winner in Q1 2023, it isn't marked on the Tesla map with a yellow star... just the usual grey marker.

Means nothing really, but just an odd observation!

Also @meloccom - can you change the thread title to just "Supercharger - Kaikōura"? Blenheim has its own thread.

The Kaikoura pin has been updated on the "Find Us" map to be where the chargers are actually going - the carpark of Bernie's Diner
