My local contact sent me a few more photos. Tesla is making progress. Take a look!
Wow. Who will want to go to Harris Ranch and smell the Coalinga cows or go to Buttonwillow and choose between Dennys or Starbucks when you can charge at Kettleman City in the shade and admire that sign!

Looking at the layout, I am optimistic that I will be able to charge there without unhitching my 17 ft camper trailer.

I’m sure there is some local signage code that had to be followed. I’d originally thought they might have the tall

signage.

Red and brightly lit from the inside or lit from many sides externally, like the skyward lighting of large U. S. Flags.

Indeed..... for advertising and the never ending visual messaging of a hidden persuader.

KC & Baker both making good progress.

?Same day openings?

Amazing to see how dusty the PV panels are already (covered in dust within in days, significantly affecting energy production), maybe once construction is complete panels will stay clean longer.

I'm continually amazed by how much dirt DOES NOT affect the performance of Solar PV. I live in hot, dry and dusty SE NM. I've seen my panels so dusty I can barely make out the cells but output is only affect by <15%. The only issue I have is that since some of my panels are only at a 10 degree angle the dust collects to a decent thickness on the edge on the rare occasion it rains. Half my panels are ~15 degrees and I haven't cleaned those in >3 years. There's a 'peak dirt' level. At some point they really can't get any dustier ;)

Just need to be >10 degree angle so mud can't cake to them....
